Kimberly Hamilton

B.Ed, M.C. S.E.P

Prior to becoming a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I spent nearly two decades as a classroom teacher. My experience as a teacher opened my eyes to how our experiences in childhood not only affect our capacity for learning, but also our ability to establish healthy connections.

I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2000 with my Bachelor of Education. In September 2017, I began my studies to become a psychologist at City University of Seattle, where I graduated in August 2020.

In addition to my education, I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) which means I have completed the three years of training and consultation required to have that designation. I am also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and have completed EMDR training.

I have also presented at the Greater Edmonton Teachers Convention on a variety of topics including grief and anxiety.

I am a member in good standing with The College of Alberta Psychologists, Psychologists' Association of Alberta, Alberta Teachers' Association, and The Grief Recovery Institute.

I currently am able to accept e-transfers and credit card payments. Additionally, I can direct bill to Blue Cross and Green Shield.
