My Therapeutic Approach
The therapeutic process looks different for every client and every psychologist. My personal belief is that you are the expert of your journey, and as such, I will never tell you what you need to do differently or what you have to stop doing.
My therapeutic approach is completely tailored to your individual needs. For some clients, I will use very specific interventions such as EMDR or the Grief Recovery Method. Other people may find their sessions specifically focused on releasing trauma from their body using a Somatic Experiencing approach. Sometimes, therapy also looks like talking through events and situations that have happened in the past and how they are impacting your present life.
Regardless of what you are going through or the reason you are coming to see me, our sessions will focus on what your goals and needs are.
Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness”
